Many Questions, Far Fewer Answers


This is certainly true in life but I have some answers to a few Frequently Asked Questions about this site and how to use some of the features.


If you still have unanswered questions, drop me an e-mail and I will answer them and perhaps add them to the FAQ.

  1. Q.Do you really expect that anyone will be interested in reading the blog?

  2. A.Yes, I will!  But, yea ... well ... probably nobody else.


  1. Q.Then why do it?

  2. A.It’s a way to clarify my own thoughts and to archive some resources and links that I think are interesting.  I am a Reagan Conservative who loves this country and who sees very bad things happening, to the great peril of my children and grandchildren for whom my love is unconditional and unbounded.


  1. Q.So, what’s up with the “Comments” feature?

  2. A.This is a two-way street.  You can send your comments on my comments and others will see then too.  And, if you’re not a complete wacko, I’ll not delete yours!


  1. Q.How does one navigate this site?

  2. A.At the top of each screen are the main site features.  Click on one to go to that section.  Plus there are named navigation buttons and links on the various screens


  1. Q.Why are some photos clipped in the slide show on the Welcome page?

  2. A.The photos that are landscape oriented appear more normal in the slide show window but the photos that are portrait oriented may appear clipped.  However, they will appear normal in the Photo and Movie Gallery.


  1. Q.How does the Photo and Movie Gallery work?

  2. A.If you click on a particular photo in the slide show of favorites a new browser window will open and show a larger version of that photo.  If you click the “Back to Album” button you will see all of the photos in that album.  Then if you click on the “My Gallery” button you will see all of my Albums, some of which have photos and some have movies.


    If you click on the little arrow at the bottom right of the slide show window you will go to the

    Favorites Album.  From there you can enlarge any of the photos or go to “My Gallery”.


    Note that there are a number of controls at the top and bottom of the various Gallery

    screens.  Try them and see what they do.  Hint: try the “Slideshow” feature.


    Remember, the Gallery appears in a separate window.  The main site is still in its own

    window.  Each window can be closed, minimized, or made to come to the front

    independently.

  2. A.Dude, Dude-ette, you haven’t asked yet.  What are you waiting for?


  1. Q.Hey, what’s that search do-hicky on the blog page?

  2. A.When I have lots of entries and you want to find something you remember seeing in one of them that you want to see again, use the search do-hicky to find it.
